Re: New member introduction thread.
Greetings from the Great South Land.
Capt. James Elliot, Gentleman Adventurer and All Round Good Guy at your service.
I have just discovered Steampunk and am still poking about and working it all out. Having fun though. I posted some pics over in the Salacious Thread.

Hello, I just introduced myself on Brass Goggles and shared a few photos of some of my work then BG fell off the Radar the next day. But look, I found the spare. Hello again good steampunks.

Hi! I'm Helios, over from BG. Just thought that, in light of the recent BG downtime, I'd register here, just in case.

Hi there - I remembered the Spare Goggles discussion after the last downtime, so I figured I'd join up this time.

eSTEAMed Greetings, MWBrantley,
Do you mean that you are the same MWBailey who is on BG?
I wonder why SG won't let you use MWBailey. A search through the member list here does not show anyone else of that name.
Anyhoo, welcome.

Re: New member introduction thread.
Alright, I'm also a member on Brass Goggles (just found it as well), and figured it's always a good idea to have a backup plan of action (as they say in the "prepper" circles I'm a part of, "two is one and one is NONE!") in case something happens.
So, I'm Xenos (here AND there), but you can call me X. I'm VERY new to the CULTURE of steampunk, the concept and look I've been into for a while (even if I dont dress the part... Money is a major inhibitor)... Love the aesthetic!
So, and all that!

Re: New member introduction thread.
Good day.
It seems that Brassgoggles is still(?) down - Well, it is currently not working for me, anyway - so I shall make myself comfortable here in the meantime.
Cheerio.

Re: New member introduction thread.
Good Evening,
I'm not new, I'm mwbailey (also mwbrantley, but I lost the password for that, and can't seem to get SG to remember my password, which means I can't erase it, either. Oh well..)
I've actually been using this nick for awhile (about a month now), but thought I'd put in another entry, just in case people thought I was trying to pull a fast one. I honestly don't think I'm that fast (lol).

Hi from Argus Fairbrass
Hello all!
Fraid you haven't got rid of me either. I hope everyone is well, I'd really like to thank Mr Addams for directing me here.
And I really really really hope, that it isn't all up for Brass Goggles!
I also couldn't seem to write my full Username in the top bar. I hope the Gremlins haven't followed us here as well!
Best Regards
Argus Fairbrass

Hi all. I've been lurking here for a while, but I finally decided to join. I am also very new to Steampunk, but I've appreciated it (while not knowing what it was) for some time. Happy to be here!

Re: New member introduction thread.
I'm indebted to Rockula for pointing me towards this forum. I too was having withdrawal symptoms not to mention high blood pressure at the lack of BG access. This isn't quite the same as BG but I guess it's better than a poke in the eye with a Tesla coil!

Re: New member introduction thread.
The strangest thing ... something seems strange. Just last week there was a Brass Goggles, the Sun came up at 8:15 and it was non-freezing.
I think I may have awoke within a temporal distortion ... Brass Goggles has gone absent, the Sun came up a full hour off ... OH BOTHER! How do I get back?!
None the less, I find what appears to be really good copies of all those at BG lingering about here, even threads for those of us who have found ourselves at this really nice refugee camp.
I stand here on the cold boiler of my airship (you know, even that is a different color, it used to be green!) and humbly introduce my self to the growing masses of fellow refugees.
I am Dr T. of what appears to be the Birdnest Annex. I offer my technical services in taming rouge analytical engines in the realm that I now find myself.
No avatar picture will presented yet, as I might be occupying the body of a presenter from the BBC show Top Gear!
... where's Xenos, I hear that he may have a bottle of Absynthe handy.

Re: New member introduction thread.
Hello all, Willam Darkmore is the name,
I ended up here in the wake of BG being down, nice to know there is a back up camp though. I was actually more of a lurker on BG, hopefully that will change on here and when the original site is back up.

Re: New member introduction thread.
Greetings, everyone. I'm LizerSparkes both here and on BG. I'm a college student at a community college, studying for a Business Administration major that I intend to transfer partially when I go to a four-year or specialized school to get my degree in Graphic Design. I someday want to manage my own Graphic Design firm, and I've been into steampunk for about ten months or so... I also live in the armpit of the midwest, so there's not really a lot of resources readily available for me, unless I go up to Omaha, which is the closest "big" city to my hometown.

Re: New member introduction thread.
One of the users from the #brassgoggles chatroom I run mentioned they put a topic up here, so I thought I would register here also.
Topic here - https://sparegoggles.forumotion.net/brass-goggles-f2/bg-down-feeling-lonely-cabin-fever-setting-in-come-to-the-irc-t536.htm#6537
It great for anyone wanting to check instantly on the state of the forums, as about 10 other people have probably also tried to get on.
Also, for fun times, and conversations.

Hello all, Tinker reporting in (Timetinker on BG)
Get's pretty quiet when the old girl is out of action doesn't it? Especially when you have exciting news to share...
Good to see plenty of the usual reprobates hanging about.
