Forum Suggestion

I've been using the forums for as long as two days, so I'm definitely not in any position to be making demands. I acknowledge that.

However, any chance that there could be a forum on Steampunk music here? I'm surely not the only person interested in discussing this? I'm sure there are threads around on the subject... but they tend to get burried with time.

Remember this is supposed to be (oh please oh please!) just a temporary fix - a lifeboat, as it were.

The last big outage was several months. This one has been - what, less than two weeks? If we end up having to take up semi-permanent residence here, it might be worth making changes... But I am hoping that, if there is enough interest in a thread, it will be kept up to the top, and not buried by the time we are back aboard BG...

I am not dismissing your idea - but there is a category for just such on BG, and I hope we can get you back to that quickly!

I appreciate that this is a Plan B, as it were and a somewhat shimmed-down version of the "real" forums.. designed to be a quick-fix whilst the springs are rewound on BG.

I never got the chance to look at BG, to be honest as it was already down when I decided to join or even look into forums and after some googling, it sounded like BG was THE definitive source online for all things steampunk. I tried to look there, but kept getting timeouts and another blog recommended I come here in the interim.

So all said and done, I don't actually know what forums you have on BG and merely presumed that it was a duplicate forum (with the obvious difference of the individual user-created topics, threads and replies), but the general main structure was the same.

I jumped to conclusions, didn't I?

Anyway, Even as a stopgap, this temporary "waiting room" is a whole load better than most other primary forums on the web... in many respects.

I look forward to when BG comes back and getting a chance to have a good look around it and see what all the buzz is about for myself!
