Steampunk Cat Name Empty Steampunk Cat Name

Post  blackrider23 Sun Sep 14, 2008 6:07 pm

We have a new male kitten and have been trying to think of a good steampunky name.
Thought I would get the brass(spare)goggles crew in on the brain pool

Names we have thought of.

Cogs
Sprocket
Dr. Horrible

Any ideas?

Volt/voltage
I know its not entirely steampunk, but I wish I'd called my cat voltage...but 'Yuri' stuck as his name- how mundane...
Also volt as a cat name isn't entirely random as cats were used as an early source of static electricity (to demonstrate it) cat

I once had a cat named Shrodinger. I kept him in a box. Then one day, he disappeared.

What about Deasil? (Not a misspelling!)

How about Heisenburg? Of course, if you know how fast your cat is moving, you wouldn't know where he was, and vice versa, but for that good a name this seems a trifle to pay.

Dogbane.

I know its not steamy but I love it. My late lovely moggy was Hepzibah Electra Dogbane. Although had I known I'd have called her Carbane instead in an attempt to sway the fates. Crying or Very sad

Post up some kitty piccies, naming is always easier with a little furry face to apply it to.

Awwww what a sweet looking little fluff head. Damm my allergies keeping from having a cute little fluff ball of my own.

Oliver is a good name as is Pinstripe, Colin, Mainspring(if it is the pounceing sort) and inkpot(because that is what it looks like it dipped its' tail in.)

May I suggest Simon as a possible name? I had a very similar looking kitty named Simon who passed away several years ago at the ripe old age of 16.

I would go with Schrodinger as well, or Igor. Either would be interesting.

When I was a student, some friend gave their cat the slightly more subtle name of 'Erwin'. It gave them an excuse to explain Schrödinger to anyone who visited. Smile
