Anyone interested in ATCs? I've just gotten into it and would be interested in trading with anyone who was willing.

Yes, please. I do a lot of ATC swaps. I enjoy working small-scale and I also enjoy getting small pices of art for my collection.

I would be interested in trying my hand at this as well, should anyone wish to swap with me.

The one thing I'm a bit frustrated with upon investigating most swaps online is that they all seem to have themes. Makes it tricky to do if you already know what you want to do.
If we do a group swap, where everyone makes the number of cards that there are people in the swap, they're all sent to the organizer and redistributed so everyone gets a card from everyone, I'd like to do one without a theme. However I'm sure some of the cards would end up steampunk themed lol.
Anyway, if we do do a group swap, I would rather not be the organizer as A: I'm terrible at organizing things and B: I'm a college student and therefore 1: it's difficult to mail things to me and assure they'll actually reach me within any reasonable amount of time and 2: very busy.

I have heard this mentioned before, but never really looked into it before. I would like to offer my meager skill for the sake of assisting in the connections in the community.

Do we currently have someone who is directing some organization in this, or no?

I'm fine with anyone wiling and able to organize doing so. Might want to check the ATC websites on things you need to think about when hosting a trade--things like shipping costs and deadlines.

Woot! I'm the 1st to sign up!

the first local meet I organized went swimmingly!
Quite a few people showed and they weren't even all people I knew, and I've added 14 new cards to my collection ^_^
